The title may be a bit confusing but this is an important day in our household. Looking back means remembering all of the treasured memories I have of my Mom, who passed away 2 years ago today. She was a very special person and I miss her terribly. She had a full life, living to be 101. Yes, you read that right, 101. I think of her each and every day and am so thankful for all the years we had together. I have a cross stitch that she made and had framed for my birthday about 15 years ago. There are many other things that she made for me and I treasure each and every one of them.

Speaking of being thankful, my hubby and I are the proud grandparents of 7 special children. We were honored to attend Grandparents day at Carson’s preschool this afternoon. It was wonderful to spend time with him and meet his friends & teachers. We listened to the class sing songs, Miss Stephanie read 2 books about grandparents, and were served a tasty snack. You can’t get better than that. Being a grandparent is one of those special blessings in life that means so much to my hubby and I.

Onto Birthday wishes… We have birthdays a plenty coming up in the next few months. Kylie will be turning 7 the first week in October and I’ve been working on a card for her. I wanted it to be bright and sparkly and this is the card I created for her.

So you see, looking back, being thankful and birthday wishes is exactly what this day is about for me today. Thanks for listening to my ramblings and have a great day!
