I meant to post this birthday set awhile back, but forgot to do so until now. This is a card and gift tin I made for our son-in-law’s birthday. The card is quite simple, I used a balloon punch to punch out the image on 4 squares of card stock then added clear packing tape to the back of each and poured glitter on top. The birthday sentiment was embossed in white. 4 balloon squares were matted on navy card stock and a piece of mulberry paper was added as a second matte. I like the colors and thought the card turned out quite pretty.
Since we were giving a gift card for his present, I decided a decorated tin would be the perfect choice to wrap it in. The tin is from Michael’s and was something I had sitting around for quite some time. In keeping with the same color scheme, I added matching card stock and also embossed the happy birthday sentiment in white. The patchwork down the side is actually a ribbon that is attached with a bit of tape runner. The silver cord and sequins were added for a bit of sparkle. Grosgrain ribbon is wrapped around the entire perimeter to hide the silver tin, but unfortunately it doesn’t show up on this picture. He liked both the card and tin.
