I made 3 quick tissue cases for our Granddaughters this afternoon. Truly these were quick, just cut the outer fabric, lining, sew 4 quick seams, press and voila’ they are finished and ready to use.
The pattern is a free download from Very Purple Person. I made these accessories to compliment the purses I made a few months ago. I ran out of the blue fabric, so I used the pink lining fabric for Kaitlin’s case. Since I have zero fabric left from Morgan’s purse, I decided to use the purple with pink flowers for both Kylie and Morgan, but each has a different lining. Morgan has a light purple polka dot and Kylie has the dragonfly fabric. All-in-all, taking the pictures and writing this post took longer than making the 3 tissue covers. I think next time I may use some pretty rick-rack or even some vintage lace.
Oops. I did have to make a few changes to the pattern because the measurements were written cm rather than inches. I also decided to backstitch at the center seams to make it stronger since this will be tugged on to insert and remove the tissues.
If you want the dimensions in inches, leave a comment and I’ll be happy to email them to you.
Thanks again to Very Purple Person for sharing this pattern.
Have a blessed evening!
