I’m sorry I have been lax in posting but there has been so much going on in the past few months. I have made a few things that I thought I would share today.
The first is a birthday card I made for our oldest daughter, Kim. I ad-libbed the flower but like how it turned out. It’s hard to see in the picture, but I used 2 different colors of ribbon for the flower.
In addition, our granddaughter, Morgan, celebrated her 7th birthday over the weekend. I made 21 paper cupcakes for the family party at the park. They turned out so cute even though my photographic skills are so bad.
I changed them just a bit as I only used 3 layers for the icing rather than 4. I found it way too time consuming to sew the icing layers so I used Tacky Glue on the circle. I discovered that if I held the icing layer for a few seconds it held perfectly. The cupcakes were easy to make but they did take a boatload of time. I used cherries I bought at Hobby Lobby and then painted Elmer’s glue over them and sprinkled pink glitter to add sparkle to the top of the cupcakes. They were a huge hit.
Here is the birthday card I made for her birthday. The image I used is from Sliekje digi Stamps
